HPNC Applications for Board of Trustees

If you would like to actively serve your community, consider applying to the HPNC Board of Trustees.

Applicants must either live, own property,  or own/operate a business in Hyde Park. A board term is 3 years.

To apply, complete the Candidate Fact Sheet and email it to the address on the form, or print it out and mail our PO Box listed above.

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will have its Cincy Block Party fundraiser on Friday, October 24th, from 08:00 PM to 11:00 PM at 6000 Plainfield Rd., and tickets are discounted, starting at $100 if purchased early (until Spetember 24th.).

Garden of Joy Picnic Fundraiser

Garden of Joy Culinary Academy will have its Picnic for Promise fundraiser on September 13, from 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM at 3226 Central Parkway. In addition to lunch and a market of local artists, there will be a chance to win a signed FC Cincinnati soccer ball, wine tastings, local restaurant gift cards, vinyl records, and exclusive behind-the-scenes Cincinnati zoo encounters.

You can purchase tickets at the its site's events page; tickets are $5 when purchased online, and $7 when paid at the door.

Starfire hosting Inclusion Seekers Summit at Art Museum

The Starfire Council of Greater Cincinnati is hosting its inaugural Inclusion Seekers Summit on Thursday, October 9th, at the Cincinnati Art Museum, with Dr. Vivek Murthy, the 19th and 21st U.S. Surgeon General, as its keynote speaker.

Tickets are already on sale now, and space is limited.

Metro bus route changes

Changes to the Metro bus routes will take effect tomorrow, with a new bus route (8) starting the day after:

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience, starting August 17, 2025, several Metro fixed routes will see route and/or schedule adjustments. These updates include the introduction of the new Rt. 8 Blue Ash–Silverton service, which launches Monday, August 18.

Schedule and/or route adjustments will take place on the following routes: 2, 3X, 4, 11, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23X, 24, 27, 28,29X, 31, 37, 40, 41, 43, 51, 64, 65, 71X, 72X, 75X, 81. These improvements are designed to enhance the system while directly addressing the evolving needs of our community.

Edwards Rd. closure between Wasson and Madison starting June 9

HPNC received the following alert from DOTE (Dept. of Transportation/Engineering) Monday morning:

Edwards Rd between Madison Rd and Wasson Rd will be closed to vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic starting Monday, June 9, for intersection reconstruction. This will be a 6-week closure for northbound traffic and then a 6-week closure for southbound traffic.

The Wasson Way Trail will be impacted; trail users should follow the posted detour routes.

Clearly, this project will significantly impact traffic during this extended construction period. It will also have major impacts for the businesses along Edwards Rd., We will keep you in the loop when we receive further updates from DOTE.

Annual Meeting - Tuesday, May 13th

Please join us Tuesday, May 13th, at 7:00 PM, for our annual meeting, where we will recognize our Students of the Year and Neighbor/Person of the Year, and hand out our Community Builder awards. 

The meeting will be held at Hyde Park School (3401 Edwards Rd). Signage and some of our Trustees will be available onsite to direct you to the meeting room. For those driving, please park in the lot off of Edwards.

During this meeting we will also be holding our annual Board of Trustees election. The 2025 ballot is available here. If you would like to vote in the election, please make sure you are current with your HPNC dues. You can make the $20 annual membership payment, or any other supportive donations, via our PayPal page, or by mailing a check to our PO Box.
